Local immigrant farmworkers have formed a cooperative to grow and sell their own plants, flowers, and vegetables directly to the community.
Partners of Episcopal Ministries, Rural & Migrant Ministries is working with nursery workers in eastern Long Island to as they create their own cooperative. The cooperative has their own green house, in Brentwood, (thanks to the Sisters of Saint Joseph) and is growing plants and vegetables.
