The Episcopal Diocese of Long Island’s Youth & Young Adult Ministries is inviting parishes and community organizations to submit service projects for the upcoming MLK Weekend of Service. Taking place January 16–19 across the diocese, the weekend will connect youth and young adults with meaningful opportunities to serve their communities.

The weekend honors the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose life and ministry challenged all to work toward justice, equality, and beloved community. Through acts of service, youth and young adults will reflect Dr. King’s vision by putting faith into action across Long Island.

Parishes and organizations planning service projects during MLK Weekend are encouraged to share their details so youth and young adults can be coordinated to participate. Project information should be emailed to Chesly DeHart, Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries, at cdehart@dioceseli.org.

Together, the Diocese of Long Island invites young people to Dream Bigger, Together through service, faith, and community.
