This year, the season for the Episcopal Ministries of Long Island (EMLI) Annual Appeal is underway, concluding with Episcopal Ministries Sunday on May 17.
Clergy, wardens, and parish administrators are key liaisons between EMLI and churches across the diocese, and we are deeply grateful for their support during the Annual Appeal.
To that end, we've prepared the following materials to support parishes in helping spread the word of the EMLI Appeal, particularly on Episcopal Ministries Sunday.
Feel free to grab images from the links below, copy-paste text, or upload these materials wherever your congregation receives updates on parish life. Go to "Download Resource" below to find a full kit of images, social media posts, and more.
Announcement for Sundays:
“Good morning. Before we continue, I just want to share something briefly.
Episcopal Ministries of Long Island is the diocesan organization that funds parish ministries across Long Island and New York City: food pantries, after-school programs, community gardens, immigrant support. Churches doing real, tangible good for their neighbors — often because Episcopal Ministries helped make it possible.
Their annual appeal is open now, and we'd love for you to consider a gift. Envelopes are available [at the door / in the pew], or you can visit episcopalministries.org.
It's good work, and we’re glad to support it. Thanks everyone!

Episcopal Ministries of Long Island (EMLI) is celebrating 75 years of supporting faith in action. Over the years, the organization has evolved, but the mission remains. Today, EMLI funds soup kitchens, food pantries, youth programs, and community ministries that serve tens of thousands of neighbors across our diocese every year. Every dollar you give to EMLI goes directly to these front-line ministries. Make your gift today at: episcopalministries.org/donate.
