Korean Culture Program

St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church is launching the Korean Culture Program, an inclusive ministry aimed at fostering cultural connection and identity for second-generation Korean Americans and others in the Plainview community. The program offers Korean language classes, traditional music, cooking lessons, and film screenings to immerse participants in the richness of Korean culture. Additionally, Korean parents are invited to attend English classes, where they will not only learn the language but also how to pray using the Book of Common Prayer, deepening their spiritual and cultural experience. This initiative responds to the growing Korean and Asian American population in the area, providing a space for cultural sharing, learning, and the celebration of identity. By opening their doors to the wider community, St. Margaret’s continues its mission of extending the love of God to all, regardless of background, and promoting a sense of belonging and connection for all participants. The Korean Culture Program also offers a space for parishioners to engage with and host the school, strengthening bonds within the church while reaching beyond to embrace new neighbors.
